May 2025 Exam Session

Year 1 & 2 girls will be taking their IDTA Ballet Exam alongside Miss Talia. The girls have been preparing for this over the last term and will be required to demonstrate the pre taught exercises to an IDTA Examiner. The girls will be marked on their Musicality, Performance & Technicality. 

Ballet Exam Uniform: Navy Blue Ballet Leotard, Navy Blue Skirt, Ballet Socks & Ballet Shoes 

Year 3 & 4 girls will be taking their IDTA Ballet Exam. The girls have been working towards this exam for the last 4 months and will take this exam in groups of 3. The girls will be marked on their Musicality, Performance & Technicality. 

Ballet Exam Uniform: Navy Blue Ballet Leotard, Navy Blue Skirt, Ballet Socks & Ballet Shoes 

**If your child does both the Tuesday & Wednesday classes – Please only select the BALLET grade option for this class as you would have already paid for your Musical Theatre exam on a Tuesday**

Year 5 & 6 girls will be taking their IDTA Ballet Exam and & Musical Theatre Acting Award 

The Ballet Grade is a is Graded Examination taken in groups of 3. The girls will be marked on their Musicality, Performance & Technicality.

The IDTA Musical Theatre Acting Award is an examination taken individually. Students must prepare a pre-arranged Poem followed by a 2-minute speech about their chosen ‘Object’ the girls have worked on this exam for the last term and are confident with their poem & chosen object! These ‘small’ objects can be brought in on the day of exams. Please note we have asked the girls to bring a photo in of anything with sentimental value.

Musical Theatre Uniform: Navy Blue Leotard & Plain Black Leggings  

Year 3-6 girls will be taking their IDTA Musical Theatre Acting Award & Freestyle Examination. 

The IDTA Musical Theatre Acting Award is an examination taken individually. Students must prepare a pre-arranged Poem followed by a 2-minute speech about their chosen ‘Object’ the girls have worked on this exam for the last term and are confident with their poem & chosen object! These ‘small’ objects can be brought in on the day of exams. Please note we have asked the girls to bring a photo in of anything with sentimental value. 

The IDTA Freestyle exams are a pre-arrange Freestyle Dance performed to the examiner in groups of 4.
